Description:
Subject to budget approval, the Institute of Finance at the Center for Economics, Finance and Management Studies (CEFMS) at Hunan University (China) seeks to hire part-time special-term faculty members. Applicants with research interests in any finance fields are invited to apply. Duties will include teaching 1-2 graduate courses per year, advising graduate students in their thesis work, and engaging in research leading to publications in leading journals of the field. Participation in CEFMS services such as advising junior faculty members and committee services are encouraged. In general, the position requires the applicant to stay at the Hunan University for two months per year (including summer months).
Qualifications: applicants should hold an associate professor or higher position at major universities outside China such as at the North America, Europe, etc., with proven strong records of research and teaching.
Compensation is based on the number of courses taught, and travel and research funds will be provided.

The Center for Economics, Finance and Management Studies (CEFMS) at Hunan University is situated at the foot of the picturesque Yuelu Mountain. The center was established in 2013 as a “special international platform” to attract talents from around the world to conduct frontier research, and to provide students with rigorous graduate training. The CEFMS is a department equivalent entity. It independently admits Master’s and Doctoral students and offers positions for post-doctoral fellows. The curriculum is similar to graduate programs in Research I universities in the United States, and the teaching language is English.
