Si Wang is an associate professor of economics in the Center for Economics, Finance and Management Studies (CEFMS) at the Hunan University. She received her Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina.
Her academic research interests are in applied microeconomics fields, specifically labor economics and health economics. Her articles have appeared in journals such as the Journal of Development Economics, Industrial and Labor Relations Review, Journal of Regional Science, and Journal of Human Capital. She is the Principal Investigator (PI) of a grant supported by the Ministry of Education of China. She also serves as a member of several national research grants.
