Jie Zhang joined the Center for Economics, Finance and Management Studies (CEFMS) at Hunan University in Fall 2020. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in Applied Economics from Auburn University in May 2020, and Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Ocean University of China. Her research fields include political economy, applied microeconomics and applied econometrics. Her recent working papers focus on legislators’ behaviors and speeches in the parliament. She is interested in data mining and text analysis in economics as well.
