Subject to budget approval, the Center for Economics, Finance and Management Studies (CEFMS) at Hunan University has new openings for full-time faculties. The positions will start from the fall semester in 2017. Our focus is at the assistant professor level, but the rank is open. We encourage those candidates in finance and broader areas of financial economics to apply. We will also consider candidates in other fields of economics, management, and public policy.
Compensation is highly competitive (includes a research fund and housing subsidy). All courses are taught in English. The normal course load is a maximum of 3 graduate courses per year, with the possibility of a course reduction during the 3-year contract period. As a research-oriented Center, all CEFMS faculty are expected to conduct research and publish in high-quality refereed English journals. Preference will be given to those with a record and demonstrated potential of high-quality publications. Applicants must have earned a PhD degree by the time of reporting to work. We will review completed applications and conduct interviews via Skype on a rolling basis. Offers will be made until the positions are filled.
Hunan University (located in Changsha, China) is a national “985 project” university and has a long history of being a top- tier research institution in China. The University founded CEFMS in 2013 as a college- equivalent international platform (海归学 院) for research and education in economics, finance and management studies. The CEFMS currently has 11 special-term professors, 8 full-time faculty members, and more than 60 masters and doctoral students.
